Membership: Dues Payment and Donations
Dues provide funds for the newsletter, stationery, printing,
and mailing and allow all programs to be run at cost or below cost. (If you
wish to receive newsletters and event notices by email only, you can indicate that
in your membership profile.)

Subscription Dues Payment
Subscription payments will automatically deduct the amount indicated on a yearly basis from the initial date of payment. To make a subscription
payment, you must be a PayPal member so that PayPal can deduct each scheduled payment.
For your convenience and to ensure that your membership remains current, we recommend
the subscription options below:

One-time donations may be made below.
All donations are tax deductible.
- Scholarship Funds: Your contribution will add increase the principal of the
M. Carolyn Hughes Scholarship (established 2005), the William Patton Boyd Scholarship
(established in 1934), and/or the Hans V.
Kaltenborn Scholarship (established in
1909 with preference for students interested in news reporting or analysis); interest
from these funds goes to undergraduates receiving financial aid.
- Schools Committee (Recruitment): Funds to support the activities of the Schools
Committee with workshops for Interviewers and Guidance Counselors, College Fairs,
Interviewing Sessions, Early Awareness Programs, a Spring Reception for newly admitted
students and their families and the recruitment of new interviewers.
- Long Island Distinguished Teacher Awards: A program to honor the finest
Long Island teachers, to benefit Long Island students, and to promote Harvard College.
Each year we recognize about a dozen outstanding teachers -- from public and private
schools, the length and breadth of Long Island -- and award at least one all-expense-paid scholarship
to a short Harvard Graduate School of Education professional development program.
